much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
I'm doing a happy dance today!! Finally, after getting alot of my clients more in tax refunds than they were expecting, I got more for myself!! I went from owing over $800 to getting a refund of $13.13. Who says "13" is an unlucky number??? It's my lucky number today!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!

Rainy overcast Monday morning. The temperature has really dropped as well and they said we could have some wet snow. I'm crossing my fingers that we don't lol. It was a good thing I spent time in the yard yesterday, raking etc, the rain will be good for it this week. I only wished I had some seed to overseed the lawn with, this would have been the perfect week for it, cool temps and rain.
This is my last week at work. The deadline for filing taxes here is on Wednesday. Thursday I'll spend cleaning up all the paperwork, Friday is a half day, my employers always take me out to lunch on my last day. I'll go up to the cabin, just me and the dog, and unwind and contemplate life for a few days. Lots of changes happening, and I'm not sure I'm ready for them all.

according to a close relative of mine, you were not supposed to reveal the new book study arrangement to anyone.
it was to be revealed at the k.h., and only there!!!!.
secondly, there is to be no speculation as to what this new arangement means.........so............. no speculating..............please!!!!!!!.
"Trouble" is my middle name, I'm used to it, doesn't bother me anymore, I'm always in trouble for something or other.
i was raised a jw, by an inactive jw mom.
looking back, and reflection on my childhood, causes me to wonder.. i honestly did not miss the holidays, for example.
i never had them, so nothing was taken away in that regard.
I believe being in the Jehovah's Witness cult desensitizes our real emotions where we pull our authentic real feelings in , and replace them with robotic emotions.
I couldn't have said this better myself. As JW's we are on "auto pilot" I think. We are told how to do everything, think, feel, study, dress, work, associate with, etc, and you never really develop that sense of "self". For some people, when they leave, they are truly lost and have to find out who they are, and it's not an easy process, for everyone involved.

I did not have a good day today. It was all I could do to hold it together at work today, and went to the bathroom several times to dry my tears. I'm down one chair, and have a nice purple and blue hand
